The Objective

A major phone company awarded the Housley Group to complete the goal of the rearrangement of major systems underground at the Shannon Medical Center critical service facilities in downtown San Angelo.

This underground facility project was included as an essential part of a 36 million-dollar Facility Project, which included:

  • a new building for the Shannon Outpatient Pharmacy,
  • a new building for the Shannon Cancer Center,
  • a new support services building
  • and a multi-story parking garage.

The Solution

The facility relocation work done by the Housley Group involved

  1. rerouting of an existing 9-way 4” duct system
  2. and the placing of a new 6’ X 12’ concrete cable vault and 1,000 ft. of a 15-way 4” duct running under a high-traffic concrete street in downtown San Angelo. The project also included the
  3. pulling and splicing of over 12,000 ft. of fiber and copper cables through the new duct systems.

Outcome

This 1 million-dollar project was successfully completed and shows the expertise we have in this line of work.
